Getting to Know Us

Reliving the past

At Thorhild Museum, you will feel transformed as you take a step into the past. Our private collection will enliven your knowledge in ways you never thought were possible. Since our opening on October 22,1995 we have been dedicated to preserving the rich history of our vibrant community for generations to come.

In 2025, we proudly celebrate 30 years of showcasing the history of our community!

The Museum has been dedicated to supplying its visitors with a feeling of nostalgia as they walk through our doors. Upon entering, guests are enveloped in memories of what the spirit of Thorhild County is built upon. The Museum, although small, allows visitors to capture the moment and relive the experience of Thorhild in its prime. The Museum was founded by a small group of volunteers who were dedicated to the community, and continues to be run as the face of a not-for-profit historical organization, the Thorhild District Historical Society & Museum.

We hope you will come to our amazing facilities soon to learn something new!
